17 ufos in 2017 - September update

Hello there!
Was it just me or was September a really short month?! I guess it seemed that way in part because Hubbie & I enjoyed a week away in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales (including an amazing day at Yarndale!). I have lots to share with you from our trip but first it's time for the monthly update on the 17 ufos in 2017 project. Before we went away I actually managed to put some stitches into two of my projects from the updated List. Number 2, the Popcorn Bear cross stitch came out for a session and finished up looking like this...

This is a kit stitched on 16 count aida and I really can't work out why I am hating stitching this so much! To start with I had issues with the chart but now Hubbie has scanned it onto my tablet & I can enlarge it that shouldn't be a problem. I still love the picture and I have two of the other kits in this series sitting upstairs to stitch so I need to find a way to enjoy working on this or they are never gonna get opened! The latest plan is that I will work on this one day a week, maybe I will hit that happy stitchy groove at some point? Keep your fingers crossed for me?!!
I had a much happier time putting some stitches into Number 8 on the list, the stocking for Little H. I last worked on this back in January and have now decided I need to focus on this if I want to have it ready for this Christmas. This is where I am up to now...

I am looking forward to watching this grow over the next month - if I can put my knitting down for long enough! I have come back from Yarndale wanting to knit all the things right now!!! More about that in my next post... thank you for visiting me here today, please pop over to the Linky to see what others have achieved this month. Wishing you a lovely week with lots of creative opportunities!

    1. Thank Rhona! Yes, the stitching is taking a back seat this week, sometimes you have to follow the urge and give in to temptation. At least it's not as fattening as giving in to the Cadburys lol! Hope your week is going great?

    1. Thank you so much Justine! He is a very cute little bear and I have stitched him and his pals quite a few times before so I'm not sure why this one is causing me these problems! Hope you're having a good week!

  6. One day a week is a good way to progress on a project that you don't enjoy. The stocking does look like much more fun to me!

    1. Thanks Jo! I always have these great plans of being more organised and sticking to a schedule with projects but most days it ends up being that I work on what grabs my attention that day! I am still definitely enjoying the stocking way more lol Have a great week whatever you are working on!
